Recent Rentals

John and I really like to watch movies. We usually rent quite a few from Netflix, but recently started to get fewer since we are never home to watch them it seems. I thought I would post some of the recent movies we have seen and what I thought of them. Have you seen any good ones lately (Jennifer, I know you are out there somewhere)?

He's Just Not That Into You - Great movie. I laughed alot and threatened to never let John out of the house again. Especially around blonds like Scarlett Johansson.

Fanboys - Loved this movie. Laughed all the way through it. Greta for Star Wars fans.

W. - Did not like this one so much. Josh Brolin did a great job, but all the other acting felt like bad character sketches. No surprising that I would not like a movie about Bush

Balls of Fury - Not as funny as I had hoped, but I did like the Def Leppard references.

Marley & Me - ok movie. Not as great as everyone made it out to be. And they do the obvious thing to the dog at the end, which sucks.

Milk - This was a really good movie! You forgot that it was Sean Penn as Milk. It is sad to see that the same BS that was going on way back in the 70's is still happening today.

Changeling - Quite a bit better than I expected. It is long, but interesting.

Stop-Loss - Alright movie. Nothing spectacular, and it made me sad that this sort of thing happens.

The Secret Life of Bees - I really enjoyed this movie. It was better than I expected, and interesting. Good cast as well.

You Don't Mess with the Zohan - Not funny. Poor Adam Sandler reached his peak with Wedding Singer I think - that was a great movie.

Surfer, Dude - Hmmmm, it was relatively entertaining, but not wonderful. An excuse for Matthew McConaughey to do an entire movie stoned and shirtless, one of which is tolerable.
